This section will cover the creation of a new unit of measurement, viewing, editing and deleting existing units of measurement.
Creating a new unit of measurement
To create a new unit of measurement a box will appear on screen where you can input the name of the new unit of measurement you would like to create.
Enter the correct name and select if you would like the unit to be Active or Default, by ticking the or box. Tick for Yes or leave blank for No.
Enter the unit of measurement you would like to create. Eg. kg for kilograms.
Once details have been correctly input press the button to create the new unit of measurement.
Viewing existing units of measurement
A list of existing units of measurements will appear here.
Description
This is the name or description of the unit of measurement.
Unit
This is the unit of measurement. Eg. kg for kilograms.
Active
This will show if the unit of measurement is active or not.
Default
This will show what the selected default unit of measurement is.
Action
Here two options will be displayed. Edit or Delete .
Edit
Press the button to edit details of the existing unit of measurement.
Description
Like creating a new unit of measurement, you will have the option to input the description or name of the unit of measurement, should you wish to modify it.
Active
Select if you would like the unit to be Active by ticking the box. Tick for Yes or leave blank for No.
Default
Select if you would like the unit to be Default, by ticking the box. Tick for Yes or leave blank for No.
Unit
Enter here the updated unit of measurement. Eg. kg for kilograms.
Once details have been correctly modified press the button to save changes.
Delete
Press the delete button, to delete an existing unit of measurement.
This function may not work if the unit of measurement cannot be deleted. In this case it will be disabled, so no new stock record can be associated with it.
